  • The first half was all La Roche as they would lead for the entire half. Reigning AMCC Player of the Year, Tyler Frederick opened up the action by making a three for the Redhawks. Travis Lien would connect on a pair of free throws and a jumper for the Barons first four points, but the La Roche offense would keep the foot on the gas. Luke McDonough connected for a three, and then Frederick made a massive and one dunk that gave La Roche all the momentum, and a seven point lead. La Roche would stretch the lead to 12 points, before John Noce would make the Barons first three point field goal of the night to cut it back to single digits. La Roche would keep up the offense as they stretched their lead to 14 points with 2:35 left in the first half. Matt Trent hit a huge three followed up by a pair of free throws from Schriner. The center would come up huge again as he added his second three to cut it to a six point game. The Redhawks hit a trio of free throws down the stretch to go to the half up by nine.
  • Drazen Frankovitch made the first bucket coming out of the half for the Barons, followed up by a Travis Lien jumper to cut the game to five points. La Roche would respond quickly with a three and a jumper to stretch the lead back up to ten. John Noce stepped up big as he went on a personal 5-0 run by making a jumper and three to cut this game back to the closest margin yet at two points. The Barons would continue to battle, as Sean Hickey hit a fastbreak layup to give this game the first tie since 0-0, at 56-56 with ten minutes to play. La Roche's offensive was relentless as they would push the lead up once again to six points. Travis Lien took over as he hit a jumper then a three pointer on back to back possessions. John Noce added a free throw to tie it up at 66-66 with 2:23 left. A pair of free throws gave La Roche the two point lead once more, until Drazen Frankovitch made a huge and one layup to give the Barons their first lead at 69-68 with 1:18 left ot play. La Roche went to their go to player as Tyler Frederick hit a massive layup, while being fouled by Matt Trent. He converted the free throw to go up by two points with 26 seconds left in the game. The Barons called a timeout and decided to go for the win, as Sean Hickey would get a wide open look on a great set by Coach Wallace, and he buried it.
