How it Happened
- Estelle Leon would start the scoring off today as she made a layup, and Angela Starre would make her first three pointer to give the Lady Barons a 5-2 lead. The Pioneers offense would get going as well this quarter. Abby Baierl would make a three pointer to tie it up at 10-10 with 4:53 to play. Kaitlyn Sonneberger would make a pair of jumpers to regain the lead at 14-12, and the Lady Barons would take a one point lead in the second quarter.
- A back and forth start would tie this game up at 17-17 with seven minutes to play in the quarter.The Pioneers would go on an 11-1 run to take control of this game. Baierl ended the run by making a jumper to send the Lady Barons to halftime down by eight.
- Skylar Shaulis would be on fire to start the second half as she made a trio of three pointers in the Pioneers first four possessions. The Pioneers would actually build their lead up to 21 points this quarter. The Lady Barons ended the quarter on a 5-0 run to head to the final frame down by 16 points.
- The Pioneers responded by starting the quarter on their own 6-0 run to take the commanding lead once again. Selena Coronis snapped the streak by making a tough and one layup. Baierl added a three pointer to cut the lead to 16 points with 4:41 to play, but the Pioneers would end this one, as a 7-1 run would put it out of hand. The Pioneers win 68-50.
