How It Happened
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Franciscan University fell in their game one match up in Myrtle Beach S.C. with Immaculata University by a score of 10-1 in five innings on Tuesday March 10.
The Mighty Macs would use seven hits in the top of the second inning to plate seven runs and take a commanding 7-0 lead. Franciscan looked climb into the game in the bottom of the inning. Jenny Massey led off the inning with a double to left field. Rachel Cooper beat a throw by Immaculata's second baseman, putting runners on the corners. After Anna Fluharty was hit by a pitch loading the bases. Chloe Cross would then ground out, allowing Massey to score.
The Lady Barons could not slow the Mighty Mac's offense allowing runs in the third and fifth innings, falling 10-1 in five innings.
At the Plate
- Jenny Massey led the Lady Barons, going 1-2 with a double and she scored Franciscan's lone run
- Rachel Cooper went 1-2 recording a single in the second inning
- Allyson Weiss recorded a single in the fifth inning

How It Happened
The Lady Barons regrouped after their game one defeat, taking down Lancaster Bible 8-0 in five innings.
Franciscan would get the offense going in the second inning. With one out, Anna Fluharty legged out a single to start the rally. After Dennise Carrazco drew a walk, both runners moved into scoring position on a wild pitch. Chole Cross worked a walk to load the bases. Mary Roach singled up the middle and cleared the bases thanks to an error by the Chargers. Later in the inning, Allyson Weiss singled to bring in Kathleen Thomposn, putting Franciscan ahead 4-0.
Meanwhile, in the circle Sarah Keating kept the Chargers in check, sprinkling five hits throughout her five innings of action while striking out three batters.
The Lady Barons looked to put Lancaster Bible away in the bottom of the fifth inning. Rachel Cooper started the inning by legging out a single to the pitcher. After she stole second and advanced to third on a ground ball, Anna Swierczewski singled to left field allowing Cooper to score. Fluharty would follow with another single to left field this time plating Swierczewski. After Fluharty stole second base, Carrazco single to bring her home. Cross singled to put two runners on base and after Carrazco got caught stealing, Roach hit a single to center field, allowing Cross to score and end the game.

- The Lady Barons were led by Mary Roach who went 3-3 driving in four RBI's
- Anna Fluharty went 2-3 scoring twice and driving in an RBI
- Dennise Carrazco went 1-2 with a walk, run scored, and an RBI
- Chole Cross worked a pair of walks, recorded a single, and scored twice
- Allyson Weiss went 1-3 at the plate driving in an RBI
- The Lady Barons out hit the Chargers 11-5

Who's Next?
After an off day, The Lady Barons will return to the diamond to face Cairn University at 11:30 a.m. and Penn State Abington at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday March 12 as they continue play in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
