How it Happened
- The Barons dominated the first quarter defensively, as they held the Crusaders scoreless the entire quarter, as they caused numerous turnovers. Michael Araps was able to find the back of the net twice in the quarter, to give the Barons a 2-0 lead heading to the second.
- Dallas would respond in the second, as two costly penalties gave the Crusaders two man-up goals in this quarter. Seth Arangua, Jonathan Lee and Joe Miraglia each would score in the quarter to maintain the two goal margin heading into the break.
- Dallas would make their move in the third, as they scored the first three goals of the quarter to take their first lead of the night at 6-5. Coach Rosaschi rallied the Barons to score three in a row of their own. Thomas Thomas scored his first, and Miraglia and Arangua added their seconds to take the two goal lead to the last.
- Thomas would keep up the scoring, as he added two more goals in the fourth. Araps added his third and fourth as well. The Barons held control of this one by winning the fourth quarter, and leaving no doubt that they were going to win this one. Dru Teague, the Alabama native, added his first goal of his career in the final minutes as well. Barons win 13-9.
