How it Happened

• The Saints would jump out to an early lead, as they scored three goals in the first two minutes. Grace Deegan would respond with her first goal after a successful draw control. Siena Heights would reply with eight goals in a row to take the 10 goal lead. The Lady Barons answered with a burst of three goals, as Deegan found the back of the net two more times and Maureen Cain scored once. The Saints would add four more goals before the half to take a 10 goal lead into the half.
• The Lady Barons would not quit, even without substitutions, they would battle to play to an even 4-4 score in the second half. Grace Deegan opened up the half with another goal. Annie King added her first in between two pairs of Saints goals. Deegan added two more goals with her last being a player down. 

Inside the Box Score

• Franciscan and Siena Heights were even with 16 draw controls apiece.
• Maria Hilkert had an excellent game with 7 assists, tying the school record for most assists in a game ever by a Lady Baron.
• The Saints had nine free position shots, and capitalized on six of those shots.
• Jenna Sommerville scored a game high eight goals to help lead the Saints to their win.
