How It Happened
Franciscan Women's Soccer lost to #1 Westminster 3-1 Wednesday night in New Wilmington, Pa. With the loss Franciscan falls into a tie for 6th in the PAC standings with Geneva. The Golden Tornadoes will move on as the 6th seed in the PAC Tournament, as they hold the head to head tiebreaker with a 2-1 win over Franciscan earlier this season.

Westminster would be on the attack for most of the first half. They out-shot Franciscan 11-3 in the first 45 minutes, but goalkeeper Rebekka Dill would not let one by her with seven saves in the first half. Franciscan would break through on a corner kick from defender Angela Postage with five minutes left in the half. Her kick would be curving in from right to left near the front post, and freshman Tania Davidson would be able to get her head on it to send it in the top right corner of the goal. Franciscan would take the 1-0 lead into the half.

Westminster would not waste much time in the second half before they were able to even the score up. Less than two minutes in, Vilchek would fire a shot to the low right corner that got past Dill. Fifteen minutes later, Ashley Frank sent a cross into heavy traffic. Dill was able to get a touch on it, but not control it, as it would find the foot of Redilla who buried in the right side of the net. Shortly after Augustine would score another Titan goal, and that would give us our final score of 3-1.

Inside the Numbers
- Davidson scored her 10th goal of the season. She is the first Franciscan player to score 10+ goals in a season since Megan Luiso in 2017 with 12 goals.
- Rebekka Dill faced 33 shots and recorded 12 saves for a season high.
- Gabriella De La Torre took one shot on goal.
- Angela Postage recorded her fourth assist of the year.
