Kimberly McDaniels added a jumper later on to set the score at 9-5, but then the Tartans would go on a 9-0 run to end the quarter.Â

McDaniels would add another bucket, but then the Tartans would go on an 18-0 run to take a commanding 38-9 lead. Ilena Gonzales would snap the run by making a tough driving layup. Both teams would struggle to find the bottom of the net over the final two minutes, but the Tartans would take a 38-15 lead into the half.
