How It Happened
The Lady Barons bats came out to play in game two, as they would score eight runs in the first three innings. Three Franciscan batters would register three hits, and Ariana Arnone had three RBIs. Freshman Lilly Wahl would record her second win of her career.

After a 1-2-3 top of the first, the Baron bats would come alive in the bottom half of the first. Chloe Cross led off with a double, followed up by a single from Rachel Cooper. Andi Queen would groundout to score Cross from third, and then Arnone would single in Cooper. After back to back walks, Brooklynn Miller would knock a single into center field, that would plate a pair of runs.

Cross and Cooper would lead off the second inning with a pair of singles. Andi Queen would reach on a fielder's choice to load the bases up for Ariana Arnone. Arnone would deliver with a two run double into right center field to extend the lead to 6-0.

After a pair of outs, the Lady Barons would get some two out offense going in the third. Chloe Cross would hit her first home of the season, on high fly ball down the right field line. Copper singles, for the third straight inning, and Jenny Massey singled. Queen would then knock in another run, by singling to left field.

The Wolverines would respond, by plating their first run in the 4th on a fielder's choice. They would score a run in the top of the sixth, and Lilly Wahl seemed to be losing her control. That would force Head Coach Dominique Nuzum to switch pitchers, and go back to game one starter, Andi Queen. Queen would allow a pair of unearned runs, before Nuzum would switch back to Wahl for three straight outs to get to the seventh.

Smyth would lead off the seventh with a solo home run, to have the Wolverines within two runs. Freshman Lilly Wahl would lock it down as she would get the final two out and give the Lady Barons a split on the day.
