Franciscan 9, Thiel 0

Franciscan University hosted Thiel for their first home match of the 2020-21 season. The Lady Barons would sweep the Tomcats 9-0, to advance to 3-0 on the week and 3-0 in PAC play this season. 

Doubles
Maria Herrera and Ana Victoria Haddad would combine for a win at #1 doubles, by a score of 8-2. Zoey Stapleton and Haley Davinsizer would win in #2 doubles by the same score of 8-2. Caroline Picard and Alyce Davis would have slightly more success, as they would win #3 doubles 8-1.

Singles
Maria Herrera would drop her first set of PAC singles play, but she would still keep her perfect record, as she won 6-2, 6-0 in #1 singles. Ana Victoria Haddad would take care of business at #2 singles, by defeating her opponent in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. At #3 singles, Zoey Stapleton would continue her dominance by winning 6-1, 6-1. Haley Davinsizer, Stapleton's double's partner, would also win at #4, by a score of 6-1, 6-2. Caroline Picard won at #5 singles, by the score of 6-1, 6-2. Last but not least, freshman Susan Schuberg, ended her strong week with a 6-0, 6-0 win in #6 singles. 

Who's Next? 
Franciscan will travel to Washington and Jefferson next Wednesday for a 4pm matchup. The Lady Barons are 2-1 all-time against the Presidents, but the two teams have not squared off since 2014.
