Washington, Pa. - Franciscan University would pull out their first PAC conference win of their program history, as the beat Washington & Jefferson on the road Tuesday night.Â
Doubles
The Haitian duo of
Gary Pierre and
Billy Presume would battle hard in their PAC opening doubles match, as they lost in #1 doubles 8-6.
Luke Conrad and
Joe Mulligan would have a more efficient victory, as the would win in #2 doubles 8-1.
Aidan Howard and
Joseph Suess would combine for a strong victory in #3 doubles 8-4.Â
Singles
Christian Cappello would earn his first PAC win at #5 singles, as he would win in straight sets.
Aidan Palladino would be the next to finish as he won in #6 by the score of 6-1, 6-0.
Aidan Howard would expand on his earlier success as he won 6-1, 6-2 at #4 singles.
Billy Presume would also win a commanding victory at #3 singles 6-2, 6-0.
Gary Pierre and
Luke Conrad would fall in their single matches at #1 and #2.Â
Who's Next?Â
Franciscan will return from Easter break to take on Geneva next Monday on the road. This will be the first matchup between the Golden Tornadoes and Barons in a men's tennis match in their histories.
