How It Happened
The Franciscan Softball fell in game one of their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match up with Grove City by a score of 9-4.
Grove City jumped out to an early 6-0 lead plating three runs in the first and second innings. The Franciscan offense would come alive in the third inning.
Emma Barnes led off the inning with a single into right field.
Rachel Cooper would single to the short stop and
Jenny Massey singled to left field loading the bases.
Lilly Wahl worked a walk, plating the Barons first run of the game.
Andi Queen then launched a double into right center field, plating Massey and Cooper to pull the Barons back within three. Later in the inning, Brooklyn Miller brought home Wahl, making the score 6-4.Â
The Wolverines would respond scoring two runs in the bottom of the third inning and tack on another in the sixth inning to secure the 9-4 victory.

How It Happened
The Barons regrouped from their game one defeat, and they used three RBI's from
Brooklynn Miller to win game two by a score of 7-3.
Franciscan got off to a much better start in game two, scoring in the top of the first inning.
Chloe Cross and
Lilly Wahl hit singles into center field to put runners on base. After
Andi Queen walked to load the bases,
Brooklynn Miller smacked a single up the middle, allowing both Cross and Wahl to score, putting the Barons ahead 2-0.Â
Grove City would respond scoring three runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 3-2 lead. From their both pitchers settled in, with Wahl holding the Wolvernies to just four hits through the next six innings of action.Â
Trailing by one entering the fifth inning, Franciscan would once again strike. After Cross reach and advanced to second base on an error,
Jenny Massey singled up the middle to put runners on the corners. Wahl then hit a hard ground ball to the right side, allowing Cross to score and tie the game at three. Queen would get hit by a pitch and Miller would single to load the bases. The Barons would capitalize on an error by Grove City allowing
Ashley Benson who came on to pinch run for Queen to score putting the Barons ahead 4-3.
Anne Cerjak ripped a single up the middle scoring Miller to give the Barons a two run lead.Â
The Barons would tack on some insurance runs in the sixth inning. After Cross reached on a bunt single and advanced to second on a wild pitch, Massy hit a single into right field, allowing Cross to score. Later in the inning Miller drove in her third RBI with a single to center field that scored Massey.Â

Franciscan will have a couple days off before Bethany comes into town for PAC doubleheader on Tuesday. The Lady Barons and Bison split a doubleheader earlier in the season that counted towards non-conference records.Â
