How It Happened
The Franciscan Softball team fell in game one of their double header by a score of 12-1. 

The Barons got off to a slow start, allowing six runs in the first two innings, falling behind 6-0. Trailing 8-0 in the fourth inning, the offense finally got on the board. Chloe Cross led off the inning, smacking a double into right center field. Later in the inning, Andi Queen smacked a single into center field, allowing Cross to score the Barons first run of the game. 

Bethany would tack on four runs in the sixth inning, winning the game 12-1. 

At the Plate
- The Barons were led by Chloe Cross, who was 2-3 with a double and run scored
- Andi Queen went 1-2 with an RBI single in the fourth inning
  
Inside the Circle
- Andi Queen pitched 6.0 innings, allowing 12 runs, eight earned, on 13 hits while recording three strikeouts

How It Happened
The Barons looked to rebound from their game one defeat, scoring in the bottom of the first inning. Chloe Cross hit a single into right field and Andi Queen followed with a single of her own to move Cross to third. Allyson Weiss hit a hard ground ball, allowing Cross to score. 

In the circle, Lilly Wahl would control the Bethany offense, holding the Bison to just seven hits in seven innings of action, while striking out four. The Bison would tie the game in the fifth inning and drive in a go ahead run in the seventh inning, winning the game 2-1. 
 
At the Plate
- Chloe Cross once again led the Barons, going 2-4 with a run scored
- Allyson Weiss drove in the Barons lone run in the first inning
- Andi Queen went 1-3 with a single
- Elizabeth Gibson smacked a double to left field in the sixth inning

- Lilly Wahl pitched 7.0 innings allowing two runs, one earned, on seven hits while striking out four Bison

Up Next
Franciscan will have Washington & Jefferson come into town for a Friday afternoon doubleheader this week. The Lady Barons are 2-2 all-time against the Presidents, with two tough losses coming earlier this season in Washington, Pa. They lost game one 2-5 and had a 2-0 lead going into the sixth inning. The bats were not able to get on the board in game two, but they fell 6-0.
