How It Happened
Franciscan Women's Volleyball concluded their 2022 season with a road trip to Westminster, for their lone matchup against the Titans this season. The Barons fell in three really close sets to end the season with a record of 9-14 (2-8 PAC).

The Titans jumped out to a 7-2 lead in set one, but the Barons would battle back into it. A 4-0 run that included a kill from Rani Hebert and Gabrielle Disselkamp. Westminster would regain a strong lead at 17-12, but then the Barons battled back once again. A 6-1 run would tie it up at 18-18 to but the Barons right back in it. Unfortunately the Titans would go on a 7-2 run to close out the set one.

Set two began with much more of a back and forth action that would set the score at 4-4. Mary Jean Cadman and Grace Wallace each had one kill in the first four points. A Titan's 6-1 run would give them a lead that they would not relinquish. The Barons would keep it close though, as they pulled to within one at 15-14 with Hebert picking up back to back kills. Disselkamp and Antonelli each had three kills each down the stretch to keep it close at 23-22, but then the Titans scored back to back points to win the second set.

Set three started out much better, as the Barons started out on a 9-0 run to take a commanding lead. Gabrielle Disselkamp served for this run, as she had three aces on the day, all of which came in the final set. Franciscan would not hold the lead for long, as Westminster would tie it up at 11-11. The Barons would be the first to 15, as the score would be 15-11. Westminster would then respond with a 14-5 run that would propel their come from behind win to take the match.
