How It HappenedÂ
  The final week of the regular season started off with their first of two matchups against Chatham on Monday night. These two team will meet in Steubenville on Saturday, as Franciscan's home season finale. In Monday night's action in Pittsburgh, the Cougars would get the better of the Lady Barons.
  The Lady Barons took their first lead of the night one minute into this game, as Felicia MacGillivray made a three pointer to set the score at 3-2. After Chatham regained the lead, Sophie LaRose and Kimberly McDaniels made jumpers to keep this one close in the first quarter. Chatham ended the first quarter on a 12-1 jump out to a 23-8 edge. The run continued into the second quarter, as the Cougars scored the first seven points this quarter. Madison Doan would end the run by making her first bucket. Later on in the quarter, Jazzlyn Melnyk would get on the board with a three pointer. Chatham would take their lead into the second half.
  McDaniels and MacGillivray got Franciscan's offense started in the second half with five quick points. Both teams would then get the majority of their scoring from the charity stripe for a three minute stretch. Lauren Arena would score her first points of the night with a pair of free throws. Chatham would close out the third quarter with a 50-21 lead. The Lady Barons would have their best offensive quarter of the night in their last, as they scored 14 points. Madison Doan led the way with five fourth quarter points. Bri DeChristopher scored three points, all of which came from the free throw line. Ilena Gonzales would also make her first bucket of the night, but the Cougars would hold on to win.
Inside the NumbersÂ
- Felicia MacGillivray led the team with eight points. She also pulled in a team high nine rebounds.
- MacGillivray now has made 40 three point field goals this season, tied for 4th most all-time. Abby Baierl made 48 in the 2019-20, the most in program history in a season.
- Eight different players registered a point, including Bri DeChristopher's first collegiate points.
- Kimberly McDaniels had a team high two steals.
- Chatham won the rebounding battle 44-40.
Up Next
Franciscan will travel to Thiel on Wednesday for their last regular season road game of the season. This will be the the first matchup of these two teams this season, as their previously scheduled matchup was canceled. They have only played once before in their history which was last season in Greenville. Franciscan fell 61-52 with Thiel having a massive second half push. The Lady Barons were led by a career high 19 points from Victoria Unnerstall.Â

Franciscan University Athletics is partnering with Steubenville Conferences to offer summer sports camps in conjunction with the Steubenville Main Campus 1 (June 9-12th, 2022) and 3 (June 23-26th, 2022).
