How It HappenedÂ
  The Lady Barons host Chatham on Saturday for their last home game of the season. A large crowd came into Finnegan Fieldhouse for a very exciting back and forth game.Madison Doan and Felicia MacGillivray led the way for Franciscan with over twenty points each, but the Cougars would make a late run to win this one.Â
  The Cougars looked to be in control of this one in the early going, as they built a 9-2 lead in the first four minutes. A 6-0 Franciscan run would tighten it up, as Sophie LaRose made one jumper and Madison Doan added a pair. Doan went on to have 10 first quarter points to lead all scorers in the opening frame. Felicia MacGillivray wold add one three pointer, as Franciscan trailed 20-15 after the end of the first quarter.Â
  The Lady Barons opened up the second quarter on a 9-3 run to take the lead at 24-23. Kimberly McDaniels made two huge buckets from the short-corner, as Franciscan showed success against Chatham's zone defense. Felicia MacGillivray led Franciscan with eight second quarter points, as both defenses stepped up the intensity. A late Chatham three pointer would give them a three point edge heading into halftime.
  Both teams started slow in the second half, but the Lady Barons would cut it to within one point thanks to a pair of free throws from MacGillivray. Chatham stretched the lead up to five points with just under four minutes to play in the third quarter. MacGillivray stepped up once a gain with a clutch jumper, and then Madison Doan had a stron and-one finish to tie it up at 40-40. The Cougars would finish the quarter on a 4-0 run to take a 44-40 lead into the fourth.
  Chatham kept the run alive, by grabbing the first four points of the fourth. Felicia MacGillivray snapped the run with a massive three point basket. MacGillivray and Doan would help Franciscan cut it to a four point game with six minutes left to play. A Chatham 5-0 run over the next four minutes put their lead up to 11 points. The Cougars would be able to hold off the Franciscan attack, by hitting their free throws down the stretch. Cougars win 64-55.

- Doan registered her 7th double-double of the regular season with 22 points and 11 rebounds
- MacGillivray scored 20 points for third time this season, while making four three point buckets.
- The Lady Barons shot 78.6% from the free throw line, a season best.
- Franciscan out-rebounded Chatham 45-27.
- Chatham made 13 three pointers, as they shot 41.9% from deep.

Franciscan will hit the road for the first round of the PAC Championship Tournament on Monday. They will be playing Geneva for the third time this season. The Lady Barons played the Golden Tornadoes tough twice this year. In their most recent matchup, they fell 70-67, as the Lady Barons held the lead until three minutes left in the game. Felicia MacGillivray scored a career high 26 points while making six three pointers to lead the way for Franciscan

Franciscan University Athletics is partnering with Steubenville Conferences to offer summer sports camps in conjunction with the Steubenville Main Campus 1 (June 9-12th, 2022) and 3 (June 23-26th, 2022).
