Franciscan 2, Grove City 7

Doubles    
    The Barons had a tough start to the afternoon losing all three doubles matches. #1 pairing of Gary Pierre and Travis Mistry lost their match first 8-4. Billy Presume and Leo Morella were the #3 pairings. They finished their match second with another 8-4 loss. This is only the second time these two have lost all season. The #2 pairing of Aidan Palladino and Aidan Howard finished last losing 8-1. 
   
Singles
    Franciscan found some success in singles play improving on their matchup score from last year. Gary Pierre finished his match first. Pierre lost his first set 0-6, but battled back and lost the second set in the tiebreak. Travis Mistry finished his singles match scoring the Barons first point beating Grovve City's Talko in two sets. Billy Presume as the #3, Aidan Howard as the #4, and Aidan Palladino as the #5 finished their matches next losing to their opponents. With Aidan Howards match loss, Grove City scored their 5th point and clinched the team victory. Newcomer Leo Morella 

Who's Next? 
The Barons will return home for a busy slate of matches in the coming week. They will have three matches from Wednesday to Saturday with it starting off against Geneva. The Barons are 1-0 all-time against the Golden Tornadoes with the lone win coming in conference play last season by a score of 5-4. All of the doubles matches went to tiebreakers with Franciscan winning two of the three by score of 8-7. Luke Conrad, Christian Cappello, and Joe Mulligan all came through with singles wins to give the team the narrow win.
