How It Happened
Franciscan hosted Chatham on Saturday afternoon in a PAC conference matchup. The Cougars would get off to a fast start that Franciscan would not be able to overcome. Felicia MacGillivray would lead the Barons with 16 points, including three made three pointers.

Jazzlyn Melnyk would open up the scoring after two minutes of a scoreless ball to start the game. The Cougars would then go on a run to take the lead that they would not relinquish. Lauren Arena made a three pointer late in the first, as the Barons would trail by six after one quarter. The Cougars would control the second quarter, as they opened it up with a 16-0 run over the first six minutes. A MacGillivray and-one would finally end the streak. She would hit a three later in the quarter to score all of Franciscan's points in that quarter.

The Barons would continue to fight, as the third quarter would be their best of the day, as they out-scored the Cougars. Franciscan connected on a trio of treys in the quarter to frustrate the Cougars and cause a couple timeouts to be called. MacGillivray and Melnyk would keep getting the Barons on the board in the final quarter, but the Cougars would be able to close this one out by a score of 65-39.
