Short Story: Several Barons run personal-best times, as the Barons beat are trending up with PAC Championships on the horizon.

Race Highlights
318 athletes from 27 different schools traveled to Wilmington on Friday afternoon. This would be Franciscan's final tune-up before the PAC Championships, and the Barons would have a strong showing as they placed 13th. 

Conal Delaney led the way for the Barons, as he posted his best time of the season just under 27 minutes. Andrew Madigan and Seamus Sommers were the next to finish for the Barons, as Sommers posted a new collegiate-best time. Anthony Pucillo would keep up also run a new personal-best time, as he dropped ten seconds from his last meet. The fifth finisher for Franciscan would be Nathaniel Tokarsky to give the Barons 420 points.

Up Next
Franciscan will now prepare for the PAC Championship on October 28th at Thiel. Last month the Barons had a strong showing on this course for the Tomcat Rumble where they placed third out of ten teams present. Franciscan Men's Cross Country has won six Conference Championships since its formation, including five in a row. The Barons were picked to finish sixth in the PAC coaches' preseason poll, but they look to have a stronger showing at the end of the month.
