Vienna, Ohio - The Barons headed to Avalon Squaw Creek for the first two rounds of the PAC Women's Golf Championship which consists of 36 holes in the fall and spring to crown a Champion after 72 holes.
How it Happened
Franciscan was led by
Brooke Biagi in the opening round, as she carded a 112 on her first competitive round on this course. She scattered seven bogeys on the card while battling the wet conditions.
Madeline Holecek shot a 124. She played better on the front nine with her best hole coming on number seven. She bombed a 250 yard drive to just in front of the green and was able to navigate the three-tiered green for a par. Isabella Atendido was third-best for the Barons with a 127 in her first trip around this track. Freshman
Lauren David carded a 133 to round out the top four scores for Franciscan. She had the lone birdie for the Barons, as she drained a put from off the green on the long par three #6.
Emily Browne shot a 143.
Sierra Richard of Westminster has the individual lead with a 77 on Monday. Washington & Jefferson holds the team lead after shoting a 337 to hold a three-shot lead over the defending Champions from Westminster.

Franciscan will return to action on Tuesday morning with tee times starting at 10:30 a.m. for Round #2 of the PAC Championship. Weather will be chilly once again with a high of 57 degrees with wet conditions making Avalon Squaw Creek play a little longer than listed on the scorecard.
