How It Happened 
    The Barons went into last night's game tied with the Golden Tornadoes for the last spot in the playoff race. The shutout helps solidify any potential tiebreaker with any of the four teams that the Barons could potentially be in a tie with after Saturday's conclusion of the regular season. 
    The offense continues to play at a high level thanks to a more stout defensive line. The young defenders gained significant experience throughout the year, and now with Angela Postage back, the midfielders can push up the field more and punish any team trying to double team Juliana Rubino or Tania Davidson. 
    The offense is expected from the women every game. The most exciting part was to see the sensational goalkeeper play from Rebekka Dill that reminds everyone of her stellar freshmen year wearing the legendary #99 jersey. Dill recorded a season-high 9 saves last night. There were few give-mes for her in net. Dil was the rock of the team, and her performance extended outward on the field

Who's Next? 
Franciscan will conclude the regular season on Saturday as they host Allegheny at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Health System Field. This will be just the second time that the Barons play the Gators in program history. They will try to repeat the result from last season, as they won 2-0 in Meadville. It would be a pair of second half goals with Claire Salyer and Anni Winnogradoff finding the back of the net, while Rebekka Dill recorded a shutout. Both teams are on the edge of the playoffs and have not clinched their position, which should provide a must-see game on Saturday.

Women's Soccer ID Camp
Franciscan Women's Soccer is excited to offer an ID Camp for aspiring college athletes on Sunday, November 19th, 2023. Participants will have the opportunity to receive training from the women's soccer coaching staff, as well as interact with current players. Players will participate in a typical Franciscan training session and gain an understanding of the competitive and challenging environment of collegiate athletics. For more information click here
