How It Happened
Franciscan Women's Soccer made the trip to Westminster for a PAC playoff matchup for the second year in a row. This time it would be the PAC semifinal. The Barons kept up their positive momentum from the PAC quarterfinal by netting a goal first just 13 minutes into this one. Gabrielle De La Torre scored her third goal of the season on a great setup from Elise Winogradoff. Just eight minutes later, the Titans would find an equalizer. Brooke Horvath  found the back of the net on an assist from Natalie Vilchek. Each team would get a couple more good looks, but not be able to get another goal in the opening 45 minutes.

In the second half, the Barons would break through thanks to Juliana Rubino. About 15 minutes into the final half she netted her 11th goal of the year. The Barons defense would stand strong from there, as just one shot would get to Dill down the stretch, and she made the save. The Barons would punch their ticket to the PAC Championship for the second straight season, as they will head to Grove City on Saturday.

Inside the Numbers
-Dill recorded four saves to earn the win.
- Juliana Rubino is now tied for the team lead with three game - winning goals.
- Tania Davidson had a team-high four shots.
- The Titans had 14 fouls compared to the Barons three.

Franciscan advances to the PAC Championship for the second season in a row. This time they will travel to Grove City. The Wolverines went undefeated in PAC play, as they held a 9-0-1 mark with the lone tie coming to Franciscan by a score of 3-3. In that matchup earlier this season, it appeared to be all Wolverines, as they scored three first half goals to hold a 3-0 advantage at the break. Tania Davidson would tally the first Franciscan goal in the 51st minute to give Franciscan some life. Then Juliana Rubino netted a pair of goals with the equalizer coming with just six minutes to play. The 2023 PAC Championship will be played at 1 p.m. this Saturday.
