How It Happened
Franciscan hosted Westminster on Saturday for a PAC conference matchup between a pair of teams in the middle of the conference standings. A strong first half from the Titans would prove to be too much to overcome, as Westminster would take home the victory.

The Titans came out strong in the opening quarter, as they shot over 50% from the floor. The Barons would make just two field goals in the opening ten minutes. Neither team would commit a foul in the opening quarter which would fly by quickly. The Barons would find their stride in the second quarter, as Madison Doan would score six points in this quarter. She led the team with eight points and eight rebounds in the first half. The Titans would stay hot, as their made five three pointers in the opening half helped them hold a 37-15 lead at the break.

The Barons offense would come out firing in the second half with back-to-back buckets in the paint before a three pointer from Caroline Reedy. She would make a four of the Barons' three point field goals on the afternoon. Mariah Vincent from Westminster would exceed that production, as she made five on the day. The Barons would finish strong with 14 points in the final quarter to win the final ten minutes.

Inside the Numbers
- Madison Doan had a double double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
- Caroline Reedy had 15 points off the bench
- Emma Clow had five assists and four steals

Up Next
Franciscan will now turn to non-conference play, as they travel to Hiram on Tuesday. The Barons are in search of their first win against the Terriers, but they have not played them since 2016. Hiram is below .500 so far through non-conference play. They share some common opponents with the Barons, and they fared the same, as they beat Thiel and lost to Geneva earlier this season. On paper, it appears to be a must-see matchup that will tip at 5:30 p.m.
