How It Happened
The Barons hosted the Westminster Titans for their home opener and senior day celebrations.

The Titans took an early 3-0 lead in the 1st inning. In the 2nd and 3rd inning the Barons played their best defense so far all season. Over that stretch they allowed only 1 hit including a quick three and out 3rd inning. However, the 4th inning spelled trouble. The Titans racked up 6 runs and 6 hits to take a 9-0 lead. They added 1 more run in the 5th, and after the Barons failed to score in the 5th and bring the lead to within 8 runs they game was called and both teams prepared for game 2.

How It Happened
Game 2 for the day started off with a 12 hit 10 run inning for the Titans that deflated the Barons. The infield was quiet and the dugout energy was way down. The second inning gave some breath of life to the Barons who allowed 0 runs and only 2 hits, but the 3rd and 4th saw more Titan runs.

Franciscan is scheduled to resume PAC play on Tuesday afternoon at Saint Vincent. The Barons are 1-11 all-time against the Bearcats. The lone win came in the 2021 season at home. The Barons won 8-7 with Andi Queen getting the win after coming in relief to pitch four and two-thirds of one-run ball.
