Franciscan 4, Saint Vincent 5

The Barons made the trip to Latrobe on Wednesday afternoon for their last scheduled away match of the regular season. The Barons would have a 4-1 lead at one point before the Bearcats won the final four matches to secure the win. 

Doubles
The Barons would earn wins from their top two positions in doubles play. Travis Mistry and Aidan Palladino won by a score of 8-2 at #1 doubles. Benjamin Sabol and Samuel Sabol teamed up at #2 doubles to win 8-4. James Scanlon and Callahan Hecton fell in the final match by a score of 8-2. 

Singles
Travis Mistry and Aidan Palladino would take care of business in straight sets to give Franciscan a 4-1 lead. They each won in straight sets. The Barons dropped the other four sets. James Scanlon was able to force a tiebreak in the first set of his match, but he could not complete the comeback at #6 singles. 

Next Up
Franciscan is scheduled to conclude PAC play at home on Saturday, as Grove City comes to Steubenville. The Barons are 4-8 all-time against the Wolverines, but Franciscan has dropped their last five meetings. Their last win against them came by a score of 8-1 in 2018. Grove City is currently in a tie for first with Allegheny, as they are both undefeated in the conference. They will break the tie on Friday as they square off before the Wolverines come to Franciscan.
