How It Happened
The Barons made the trip to Latrobe to take on the Bearcats. This would be the #3 ranked team in the PAC versus the #4, and the lower seeded team would take the win today.

Carolyn Cooke and Joanna Hilkert got the scoring started to give Franciscan a 2-0 lead after five minutes of play. The Bearcats would answer with four goals in just a little over two and a half minutes of play to take the lead. They would hold a 5-3 lead after one quarter of play. In the second quarter, the Bearcats would remain in control with a two goal lead six minute in to the period. Lyle, Cooke, and Hilkert would each add a goal to give Franciscan the edge at halftime, 8-7.

The Bearcats would make adjustments and come out firing on all cylinders with three straight goals to start the third quarter. Cooke ended the run with her fourth goal of the day. Later in the quarter Lyle would add two goals to tie it up at 11-11. Saint Vincent would respond once more with a pair of goals in the final two minutes. Franciscan would not be able to overcome that two-goal deficit, as they scored just one in the fourth. The defense would stand strong to hold the Bearcats scoreless for the lowest-scoring quarter in a game that Franciscan has played in this season. That would result in Saint Vincent taking the win at 13-12.

Inside the Numbers
- Carolyn Cooke has scored 3+ goals in her last three games.
- Theresa Lyle scored four goals for the third time this season.
- Mary Bohli had three caused turnovers.
- Lyle had six draw controls and three ground balls.

Up Next
The Barons will conclude the regular season at home on Saturday, as they host Allegheny for the first-time in program history. They have only played the Gators one time, and that matchup was in Meadville back in 2013. That was the first-year for Franciscan Women's Lacrosse, as Allegheny would win 23-0. This season, the Gators are undefeated in PAC play with games against Washington and Jefferson and Franciscan remaining.
