Steubenville, Ohio - The Barons hosted Grove City on Saturday afternoon at Steubenville Country Club on a beautiful sunny day. 

How it Happened
The Barons showed a lot of improvement in their second match of the year. Madeline Holecek made her 2023-24 season debut, as she led the way for Franciscan with a 113. Brooke Biagi cared a 116, a new season-low round for her, as she played well from tee to green. Isabel Atendido was just one shot behind Biagi in her season debut as well. Emily Browne would be the fourth score to count for the Barons. Her 120 was a new career-best round for the sophomore. Lauren David kept up the personal-best round theme with a 122 to round out the lineup. 

Grove City's Lauren Kardos carded an 87 to earn medalist honors and lead the Wolverines to a team win by a score of 404-466.

Up Next
Franciscan will have a couple weeks off to practice and prepare for their next match which will be at home on September 30th. They will host Carlow and Waynesburg for their Fall Invitational. This iwill be a good test to see where the Barons stack up among two regional teams as we approach the midway point of the fall season.
