How It Happened
Franciscan Women's Basketball made the trip up north to Grove City on Wednesday evening to take on the Wolverines for the second time this season. The Barons would battle with just seven players in uniform again tonight, but Grove City would defend home court to earn the victory.

McCallen and Reedy would each score in the early going of this one, as the Wolverines would hold a slight edge at 6-4. An 8-0 run would give Grove City a 10 point lead before McCallen and Reedy would answer with their second buckets of the night. McCallen would lead the Barons with six points after 10 minutes, as the Barons would trail the Wolverines heading into the second quarter.

Four more Barons would join the scorers column, as Mikayla Doan, Emma Clow, Natalie Conner, and Ilena Gonzales would all register points in the second quarter. The Wolverines would shoot 48.6% from the field in the opening half which would aid them tremendously in holding a commanding lead at the half.

The Barons offense would step up in the second half. Caroline Reedy led the way in the third quarter with nine points, including her first made three pointer of the night. The third quarter would be the Barons best offensive quarter of the night, as they tallied 17 points as a unit. They followed that up with 14 points in the fourth quarter to have a productive 31 points in the second half. Unfortunately, the Barons would not be able to overcome the deficit from the first half, as they would fall to the Wolverines.

Inside the Numbers
- Reedy led the Barons with 19 points, her ninth double-digit scoring game of the season.
- McCallen notched a double double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
- McCallen added four blocks. Her 18 blocks this season is second most all-time by a Franciscan freshman
- The Wolverines scored 48 points in the paint.
