Greenville, Pa. -Â Franciscan Women's Tennis improved to 7-2 on the season and 3-2 in the PAC with this win at Thiel on Friday afternoon.
Doubles
  The usually duo of
Claire Cardie and
Kina Ehlers took care of business at #1 doubles, but the other pairings were different from the normal lineup.
Hannah Franzone and
Ellen Popp did not drop a point at #3 doubles. Then
Lucy Rochat and
Veronica Saunders bumped up to #2 and won 6-4.
Singles
  The Barons would keep up their success at singles.
Claire Cardie,
Kina Ehlers, and
Jordan Beltavski would all win in straight sets at #1-#3.
Lauren Schoenberger stepped up to the #4 spot and had similar success.
Veronica Saunders made a singles appearance at #5 and did not drop a point. Last but not least,
Anabel Stickney would win 6-1, 6-0 at #6 to close out the sweep over the Tomcats.
Next Up
  Franciscan will return to action at home on Monday, as they host Geneva at 5:00 p.m. The Barons are 5-1 all-time against the Golden Tornadoes with wins in their last five meetings. Last season was a close one with the Barons winning by a score of 5-4. They would win two of the doubles matches, an then
