How It Happened
Franciscan made the short-trip to Washington & Jefferson on Saturday afternoon for their first PAC conference matchup of the season. Things would not start well, as the Presidents would start the game on a 12-0 run. Tessa Miller and Ava King added kills on a 5-1 Franciscan run to end the opposition's run, but the Presidents would take the opening set 25-13.

The Barons would answer in the beginning of the second set, as they held the lead until it was tied at 12-12. It would be back and forth action until the Presidents would have an 18-15 lead. They would then end the send on a 7-0 run to take the 2-0 edge.

Franciscan would have their best start of a set, as they built a 13-7 lead with kills from five different players. Unfortunately, the Presidents would answer with a 6-0 run to tie it up at 13 all. Elizabeth Luebbers would add a couple of kills for Franciscan to regain the lead at 19-17, but the Presidents would rally once more to regain the lead and close out the set.

Inside the Numbers
- Luebbers led the Barons with seven kills.
- Kaitlain Hickey had a pair of aces.
- Grace Wallace led the team with 13 digs and 11 assists.

Up Next
After seven straight games on the road, Franciscan returns home on Tuesday evening to take on Chatham at 7:00 p.m. The Barons are 15-7 all-time against the Cougars, including a non-conference win against them earlier this season. Franciscan won the first two sets, but then Chatham took the third. Franciscan would answer by winning the fourth, as Mary Jean Cadman led the way with 13 kills.
