Today's senior spotlight is
Mary Hollis Taylor, a Theology, Catechetics, & Evangelization major from Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a four-year member of the Franciscan Basketball team. With the season one month away, here is a look into one of our returning veterans.
What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming 2024-25 season?
Taylor: I am most looking forward to home games!
What is your most memorable moment at Franciscan throughout your career?
Taylor: During my time in the Austria study abroad program, I had the opportunity to go to Rome and Assisi. I felt the Lord speak to me in a that He had never done before in a little stable where St. Francis was born that turned into a chapel.Â
What are your future plans after graduating from Franciscan?
Taylor:Â I plan on getting my Master's in Theology, hopefully at Franciscan. After graduate school, I plan on becoming a high school theology teacher.
Who has made the biggest impact on your life?
Taylor: Sr. Isabelle Maina, T.O.R.
What is the best piece of advice that you can give to the incoming freshmen at Franciscan?
Taylor: Don't Wait! Don't wait to reach out to someone who you have been wanting to reach out to. Don't wait to start taking your spiritual life seriously, Don't wait to study for the exam. Don't wait to start living the life that you want to live!
