New Wilmington, Pa. -Â It would take two days to complete this conference match, as they would not have enough daylight on October 1st. The Barons made the return trip on Wednesday, as they were trailing 3-1 with three singles matches to finish. They would win two out of three matches to fall one point shy of victory.
Doubles
 Â
Veronica Saunders and
Lucy Rochat were the lone pairing to secure the win. At #3 doubles, they won 6-4. At the #1 spot,
Kina Ehlers and
Claire Cardie lost 6-2. #2 doubles went all the way into a tiebreaker.
Sophia Pastura and
Jordan Beltavski narrowly dropped that match 7-6 to give the Titans a 1-0 advantage.Â
Singles
  Three matches were able to finish on October 1st.
Margaret Vernau and
Hazel Mistry went down in straight sets, as the Titans took a 3-0 lead. While daylight was running short,
Lauren Schoenberger would put the Barons on the board with a straight-sets win at #6. She won 7-5, 6-1. Both
Kina Ehlers and
Jordan Beltavski won their opening set, but had to resume on October 9th.
Claire Cardie won the first set, lost the second, and held a 1-0 lead in the third before it was called due to darkness.

Kina Ehlers would secure the win at #2 singles, as the first to finish on Wednesday afternoon.
Jordan Beltavski would follow suit with a win at #3 to tie it up at 3-3. That would leave the match at #1. Westminster would rally to win the second set and then control the third to secure the win.Â
Next Up
  Franciscan will return home for their regular season finale on Thursday. It will be Senior Day in Steubenville, as they host Grove City at 4:00 p.m.
Olivia Colby and
Elizabeth Suess will be honored before the match. The match has seeding importance to both teams, as the result will determine the final seeding in the PAC Championship Tournament that will begin Tuesday, October 15th.
