How It Happened
Franciscan hosted Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday evening to begin PAC conference play. In the 11-team league, each team plays each other twice, one at home and one away. The Presidents entered this matchup with a 2-1 record, and they were picked to finish second in the conference from the Coaches' Poll.
The Presidents controlled the opening half by shooting over 60% from the floor and taking advantage in transition. They also hit the glass well with 25 rebounds in the first 20 minutes. The Barons answered in the third quarter by shooting 50% from the floor and scoring 15 points. They closed out the fourth with 11 more points, but the Presidents were able to put up 94 points and take the win today.

Up Next
Franciscan will continue PAC play this weekend at Grove City. The Barons are in search of their first win against the Wolverines since the 2015-16 season. In that victory, Head Coach Iliana Spoelan scored 33 points with four made three pointers and shot a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line. The Wolverines were picked to finish 6th in the PAC from the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
