How It Happened
In the first career win for all but one player on this softball team, freshmen
Katie Fluharty set the program record for single game strikeouts with 11. The record was previously held by Jayln Effertz ('17) and standout Sarah Keating ('19). Fluharty also led the Barons at the plate going 1 for 3 AB and registering the only Baron RBI.

How It Happened
For the second game today, the Barons bats were connecting. In the top of the 1st they jumped out to a 3-0 lead off a Maxwell double to center field bringing in two runners. They gave up five runs in the bottom of the inning. Then, came back with two runs in the top of the second and three quick outs in the bottom to go into the third inning tied.
After those two eventful innings, the offense got cold and St. Joseph of Long Island slowly extended their lead to five by the 6th inning.

-Maxwell had a game-high 4 RBI's a career best for her
-Davis scored 2 runs
-Rackley was 1 for 2 from AB and scored one run

Up Next
Franciscan will have the day off on Wednesday before another doubleheader on Thursday. The will start with an 11:00 a.m. matchup against Clarks Summit. Franciscan is 4-1 all-time against them, but they have not played them since the 2020 season. Following that game, they will take on Muhlenberg for the first time in program history.
