How It Happened
The Barons struck first with a double to left field by Maxwell which sent Clow home. That score was in the top of the first. The defense struggled in the first inning of the season allowing 4 runs in the bottom of the first. The defense improved after that allowing only 3 runs in the next 3 innings, but their offense was unable to produce any more runs.
At the Plate
-Clow had one hit and one run
-Maxwell led the Barons going 2 for 2 at bat and sending Clow home earning her first RBI this season

How It Happened
Offense was a continued struggle in game 2 on the day. The defensive lineup was completely turned around and there was some success. Fluharty registered seven strikeouts and allowed only five runs in seven innings.

-Kozares led the Barons going 1 for 2 AB, and getting walked once

-Fluharty pitched 7 innings, allowed 8 hits, had 1 earned run, and 7 SO
Up Next
Franciscan will remain busy in South Carolina with a pair of games tomorrow. They will take on Dean College at 9 am, and Saint Joseph's University of Long Island after the conclusion of game one. These will be the lone two games of the trip that will not be live streamed, but you can follow along with the live stat links. This will be the first time that the Barons play either of these schools in Softball.
