Franciscan 8, Washington & Jefferson 1
Doubles
   Franciscan would host Washington & Jefferson for a pivotal PAC matchup on Tuesday afternoon on a sunny and calm day in Steubenville. Action would heat up instantly with three closely, contested doubles matches.
Aidan Palladino and
Travis Mistry would be first to finish with an 8-4 win at #1.
Aaron Heinlein and
Christopher Yvars won 8-6 at #2 doubles. Then all eyes would shift to #3 doubles.
Samuel Sabol and
Callahan Hecton rallied back to force a tiebreaker at 7-7. They would make it a clean sweep with a 7-5 win in that to take #3 doubles, 8-7.
Singles
   Heinlein would keep up his strong play, as the reigning PAC Newcomer of th Week, would be the first to finish. He won 6-1, 6-0 at the #2 spot. Next to him,
Travis Mistry would earn the fifth and decisive point to give teh Barons the victory with a straight sets win at #1.
Aidan Palladino and
Callahan Hecton would also win in straight sets.
David Bourdelais would drop his first set at #6, but then win the second to send it to a tiebreaker. He would win that 10-8 to give the Barons an 8-1 win over the Presidents.Â
Next Up
  Franciscan will return to action at home on Thursday, as they host Allegheny at 4:00 p.m. at the Belleview Courts. The Barons are in search of their first win all-time against the Gators, who are undefeated in PAC play to sit atop the PAC standings so far.Â
