Franciscan 2, Grove City 28
Franciscan Starters
Luke Reimer, Alex Ahmann, Joseph James, Jeofre Strandhagen, Sam Smith, Gavin Cook, Dominic Miraglia, Samuel Marshall, Brendan Lacey & Goalkeeper- Richard Vale II
How It Happened
Franciscan made the trip north to Grove City to take on the Wolverines, the reigning PAC Champions. The hosts would remain atop the PAC standings with a convincing win on Saturday to improve their PAC record to 4-0.
Samuel Marshall would be the first Baron to score on an assist from Joseph James in the third quarter. James would score later on in the quarter on an assist from Richard Vale II. That would be it for the Franciscan offense, as the Wolverines defense would contain the powerful Baron offense.
Inside the Numbers
- James scored one goal, as he has scored in each game of his collegiate career.
- Vale had a team-best five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Vale had 20 saves for back to back 20+ save games.
- Strandhagen won eight faceoffs.
Up Next
Franciscan will return home to take on Thiel at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night. The Barons are in search of their first win all-time against the Tomcats, as they have lost a pair of close battles in the last two seasons.
