How It Happened
Franciscan Women's Basketball made the short trip over to Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday evening to take on the Presidents. The top-ranked and undefeated in the PAC team showed a strong offensive attack throughout the night, that like others in the PAC, the Barons could not contain.

Maria McCallen continued her strong, sophomore campaign with 26 points and nine rebounds to lead the way for the Barons. She scored the Barons' first 11 points, as the Presidents were able to take an early lead with 25 first quarter points. The Barons were also short-handed tonight with just six players seeing the court for Head Coach Iliana Spoelman. The Barons played hard till the end with 17 fourth quarter points to set the final score at 92-51.

Inside the Numbers
- This is McCallen's seventh 20+ point performance of the season.
- Caroline Reedy scored nine, and Abbigail Jannuzi scored eight.
- Moira Hughes returned and played 22 minutes off the bench.
- 16 different Presidents saw the floor with 14 scoring at least one point.

Up Next
Franciscan will head to Geneva on Saturday for their first of two matchups against the Golden Tornadoes this season. The Barons are 2-14 all-time against the Golden Tornadoes, as they are looking to snap an eight-game skid against them. Their last win against them came on January 2, 2020, by a score of 74-67. Geneva will be fresh, as they did not play on Wednesday. It will be one week between games for them.
