- The Barons dominated Penn State New Kensington in their home opener with a 105-59 win
- 20 players saw the floor in the win, with 15 players getting in the scoring column
- Franciscan jumped out to an early lead, held a 49-24 advantage at the break and never looked back from there

Scouting the Lions
- The Lions are 1-1 so far this season, with a 94-67 win over Fredonia and a 71-68 loss to Case Western Reserve
- Last season, they went 14-12, with a 9-7 record in the AMCC
- They lost 63-59 to La Roche in the first round of the AMCC tournament 
- In their two games this season, they are led by Jacob Dunkle with 17.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game

Big Time Butler
- He has scored 20+ points in 21 games so far in his collegiate career. He has scored 30+ points five times, including each of the first two games of the 2025-26 season.
- Sawyer Butler sits 27th with 927 points on the all-time scoring ranks that go back to 1947. Above him are Bill Linderman '71 with 931 points, Connor Flanagan '11 with 939, and John Clark '59 with 958. 
- Butler is also closing in on the program record for most free throws made by a Baron. He sits at 262, as he passed Keoni Sablan and Josh Zimmerman over the weekend with 30 made free throws. Sean Hickey '22 holds the record at 267. 
- With 119 assists, he now sits ninth in the all-time rankings. Sam Titus sits in eighth with 121.
- His 123 steals are the third most by a Baron all-time. Sean Hickey is second with 158 and Josh Zimmerman holds the record with 259. 

New Faces Stepping Up
- Zach Oliver earned the start in each game this season
- The Wooster transfer has averaged 13.0 ppg and 6.3 rpg through three games
- Zachary Pollaro and Anthony Covetta were the leading scorers in the win over Penn State New Kensington
- Pollaro scored 16 points on 5-8 shooting and 4-5 from the free throw line
- Covetta scored 15 points in only 19 minutes
- Pollaro leads the team in three-point field goal percentage at .545.
- Nathan Rodriguez scored seven points and Benji Rook added six in their first collegiate games
- Sophomore Joseph Fatica also scored his first collegiate points with a three-pointer
