The Latest
- Franciscan picked up their 15th win of the season on Wednesday night by a score of 78-61 over Waynesburg.
Sawyer Butler dropped a career-high 35 points, and
Josh Zimmerman recorded his second career triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists. He also added five steals and a block to fill up the score sheet.
- With a win on Saturday, the Barons would climb into the #5 seed in next week's PAC Championship Tournament. With a loss, they will be the #6 seed. Either way, they will travel to their PAC Quarterfinal matchup next Tuesday.
Scouting the Golden Tornadoes
- Geneva is one of the hottest teams in the PAC, as they have won four straight and are looking to be peaking at the right time. They have beaten Bethany, Westminster, #1 Chatham, and then Grove City on Wednesday. Geneva can work their way into the #4 seed with a win and some help, which would then allow them to host a PAC Quarterfinal matchup.
- The Rachic brothers have led the charge for the Golden Tornadoes, and Trevor Tipton has been on a roll by averaging 19.0 ppg over their four-game win streak.
-Â The Barons beat the Golden Tornadoes 75-66 on January 18th at their place.
Sawyer Butler led the way with 21 points, and Aidan Townsend added 16 points off the bench.Â
