Franciscan 0, Ashland 7

Steubenville - The Barons got right back into action on a perfect day in Steubenville after a busy spring break trip last week. 

Doubles
     The Barons dropped the doubles point to the NCAA Division II foe, but they battled in each match. Jeremiah Greve and Joel Capelli dropped at #3, and Aidan Palladino and David Bourdelais lost 6-1 at #1. Aaron Heinlein and Christopher Yvars were very close to pulling off the upset, as they fell 6-4 at #2.

Singles
    Bourdelais was first to finish, as he fell in straight sets at #3 to set the score at 2-0. Unfortunately, his teammates saw the same results against the tough, international lineup, as the Barons fell in each singles match.

Next Up
    Franciscan will begin PAC play this Saturday at Saint Vincent at 1:00 p.m. The Barons are 3-4 all-time against the Bearcats, as they are looking to snap a three-game losing streak against them this weekend. The Barons last beat them in the 2021-22 season, but they have always played a close match over the years.
