How It Happened
On Friday the Barons Women's Lacrosse team faced a Division II opponent West Virginia Wesleyan. The Barons came out of the gates firing and took a quick five goal lead. That early punch put the Wesleyan Bobcats on their back foot. The Barons pressed on that advantage and never let up. They continued to attack the defense and tallied a total of 20 goals.
In the second half, the Bobcats mustered some scoring, but it was too little too late. The Barons finished their non-conference schedule with a big win over a Division II opponent. They now enter exclusive PAC play and hope to bring that success into league play.

Inside the Numbers
-Lyle and Wilson led the Barons with 7 points each
-De La Torre broke the program record for single game caused turnovers with 10 and grabbed 9 ground balls
-Theresa Lyle tied her personal best 12 draw controls

Up Next
Franciscan will return to PAC play on Wednesday as they host Westminster at 4:00 p.m. The Barons are 5-2 all-time against the Titans, but they lost to them last season by a score of 20-10. The Titans made the PAC Tournament last season, and are off to a hot start to the 2025 today.
