How It Happened
    The Barons went down 0-2 early, but held the Bearcats to only 4 hits and 0 runs from the 3rd to the 7th inning. In the 4th, McDaniels led off with a triple. She was sent home the next at bat by Cook. The Barons then tied the game up in the 6th with Cook leading off with a double to center. Clow followed up with single up the middle. Her hit sent Cook home tying the game 2-2. The Barons were blanked in the 7th, but a costly error in the 7th put two runners in scoring position with 0 outs. The Bearcats Michalski singled deep to left easily sending the runner at third home and ending the game 3-2.

-Cook was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI and 1 run
-McDaniels was 1 for 4 with 1 run and a triple

How It Happened
   The Defensive battle from game 1 started to repeat in the first inning, but the Bearcats opened up in the 2nd scoring 5 runs. They added 2 more in the 5th ending the game mid-inning after the 8th run.

Up Next
Franciscan will attempt to makeup their non-conference doubleheader at La Roche on Monday. The Barons are 6-16 all-time against the Redhawks with wins in their last six meetings. They have not played them since the 2019 season.
