How It Happened
For the final road games of the year, the Barons went seven rounds against the Chatham Cougars. Both teams were blanked the first couple of innings and in the 4th the Barons jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but their otherwise great defensive effort waned in the 6th inning. The Barons allowed three runs in the bottom of the 6th losing their lead. With one inning to get back on top they suffered a three and out to finish the game down 3-5.

How It Happened
Three was the popular number for the Barons. They scored three runs again in game 2 and again jumped out to an early two run lead, but gave up two runs in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings and three more runs in the 6th. Down seven runs heading into the 7th, they needed their offense to come alive. Kozares lead off with another double on the day and Linden was walked.
Tiffany Gutierrez pinch hit for Pelletier. She grounded out, but advanced Linden and Kozares into scoring position. Davis grounded out for the 2nd out, but allowed Kozares to score bringing the Barons to within six. However, with only one out to give and only one runner on base six runs seemed unlikely. Winner was the final out of the day grounding out to first base and the Barons lost to the Cougars 3-9.
