How It Happened
The Barons went 7 rounds against the Gators in Meadville, Pa. Both teams' offenses were blanked in the first inning. Allegheny's defense continued to keep the Barons off the bases, but they scored a few runs between the second and third inning. It was freshman
Hayley Cook whose bat got the Barons back in the game. For the second time this week she hit multi-run homer to get the Barons on the board and down only one. The Barons blanked Allegheny in the bottom of the fourth and looked primed to score some runs in the 5th and take the lead. However, the Gators defense held them and then they turned around and scored six runs in the sixth inning. An incredibly close game for 5.5 innings.
