How it Happened
The Barons strongest showing was in the 800m open.
Jessica Campbell and
Lauren Dosch finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, earning the Barons 14 of their 31 points in one race. Dosch still holds the #33 fastest 800m time in DIII, but only the top 22 will qualify for nationals. She will have one more chance to move up atleast 11 spots and qualify.
Jessica Campbell also posted a PR in the 1500m with a time of 4:46.67 good enough for 7th and two more team points. The 4x400m relay team of
Kathryn Bolster,
Anne O'Boyle,
Lauren Dosch, and
Jessica Campbell set a school record with a time of 4:08.54 and good enough for second place.Â
An incredible weekend and special recognition for
Jessica Campbell's all around performance her top finishes in multiple events totaled more than half of the Barons total team points. Throughout her career she continuously posted PR's showing her hard work and dedication to improvement. Her performance at the Outdoor PAC Championships is a great way to cap off her senior year and a highly successful career.
The PAC released their All-Sportsmanship Team upon the conclusion of the championship, and
Mariana Lavigne was the Baron to be named to this exclusive team.
