Race Highlights
Franciscan Men's Cross Country began the 2025 season with the same race that they began the 2024 season. Last season, the Barons placed second out of seven competing teams in the 5K race. This year, they placed third overall but second among the NCAA Division III institutions.
Andrew Madigan led the way in second and was just a tenth of a second behind a Division I runner from Robert Morris. His time of 15:55.7 is the second-fastest 5K in program history. Only All-American, Liam Galligan has a faster 5K time with a 15:31.0 at the same course in the 2021 Fisher Invite.
Maxwell Bruns earned a Top 10 finish in 10th in his first collegiate meet.
Seamus Sommers placed 14th, and Aidnn Mohr placed 22nd. Rounding out the top five was
Micah Bragg in his first meet as a Baron.
Robert Morris won the meet with a team score of 38. Saint Vincent was second with 66 points, and Franciscan was third with 71 points.
