Race Highlights
Franciscan Men's Cross Country made the short trip to Bethany on Saturday morning to compete in their invitational. Underclassmen led the way in the first 8K race of the season, as they placed third.

Seamus Sommers was the first to finish, as he placed fifth. He was second among the NCAA Division III runners in this 56-runner field. A pair of freshmen were the next finishers for the Barons, as they jumped up to the 8K distance. Bruns placed eighth, and McKnight finished 18th. Daniel Wilson and Micah Bragg finished back-to-back in the 20th and 21st to round out the top five finishers for Franciscan.

That gave Franciscan 72 points to place third, second among NCAA Division III teams, as Saint Vincent just edged them out. Division II West Liberty had 22 points to win the meet.
