The Latest
- Franciscan made their home opener last Wednesday against La Roche, securing a dominant sweep victory 
- After a competitive first two sets (25-17, 25-20), the Barons completely ran away with the final set, winning 25-8
- Logan Hickey led the way with 16 kills and Mary Jean Cadman added 13
- The Barons will open Presidents Athletic Conference play in Latrobe against Saint Vincent College on Wednesday night

Scouting the Bearcats
- The Bearcats are 1-4 and have lost four consecutive games following a season-opener win over Carlow University
- Last season, they held a 15-12 record.
- They lost a First Team All-PAC setter and libero from a season ago
- Dakota Hershberger leads the team with 52 kills, followed by Meegan Williams with 50.

PAC Play Begins
- This will be the first conference game for both teams, and a South Divisional game.
- This will be the first of two meetings this season, as you play everyone in your division twice and all in the opposite division once.

All in the Family
- Kaitlan Hickey jumped up to fifth in the PAC at 0.58 service aces per set after her eight ace day against La Roche. She is also third in digs per set at 5.63.
- Logan Hickey continues to impress in the early going of her career. She is second in the PAC in points per set (4.42) and kills per set (4.04).
- Coach Jen Hickey has already climbed to second in all-time wins by a coach at Franciscan. She trails Kelly Herrmann, who won 145 games over her 14 Division III seasons and a pair of AMCC Championships. 

Rising through the Ranks
-Mary Jean Cadman sits 8th all-time in kills with 524 closing in on Christina Lawrence '16 in 7th with 535 kills over her four-year time with the Barons.
- Cadman climbed to 9th in points with 576.5. In eighth, Amy O'Keefe '15 has 655.5 points 
- Mary Smart has now passed Mary Moore '17 for 8th on the all-time rankings with 431 set assists. She now closes in on Teresa Marcotte, who sits in seventh with 486.
