How It Happened 
    Franciscan returned to PAC play after a long Christmas break. Returning to the lineup for the Barons was Maria McCallen, who studied abroad in Austria during the fall semester. Her impact was felt early, as she scored just a few minutes in to tie it up at 4-4. The Bearcats then took advantage on a handful of fastbreak opportunities to take a lead of 20-12 through the first 10 minutes. The Bearcats continued to play fast and forced the Barons into seven turnovers in the second quarter. They played a deep bench with fresh legs to keep up the fast pace. Franciscan trailed 37-22 at the half.
    The Bearcats made their move in the third with 14 points in the paint, while keeping the Barons quiet on the other end. Jannuzi got the offense going in the fourth quarter with a pair of three-point field goals. The Bearcats were able to maintain their lead to close it out.

Inside the Numbers 
- Jannuzi made a trio of treys to score a team-high 12 points.
- Melyk maintained her PAC lead in rebounds per game with 11 boards.
- Melnyk also led the Barons with five assists.
- Bashor led all players with 13 points in 20 minutes of play, while 18 Bearcats saw the floor.

Up Next 
Franciscan will remain on the road to take on Grove City on Saturday. The Barons are looking to snap their skid against the Wolverines this weekend in their lone matchup against them this season.
