Daniel Mullen Memorial Invitational: Moorehead Farm; New Concord, Ohio

Short Story:

The Franciscan cross country teams split up this weekend, with some of the runners racing at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park for the Louisville Classic meet. Meanwhile, the rest of the runners traveled to New Concord, Ohio, for the Muskingum Invitational. At Louisville, the women finished ninth with 272 points, while the men finished 16th with 409 points, competing with 23 schools. At Muskingum, both the men and women finished second out of four teams, with 46 and 37 points, respectively.

Race Highlights:

On a beautiful sunny Saturday morning at both locations, both teams had strong showings at each meet. The top runners at Louisville enjoyed a nice and fast course, while the rest of the team persevered with the "roller coaster ride" in Muskingum. In very different circumstances, Franciscan cross country stayed together in spirit and pushed each other to the finish.
